Don, an Air Force veteran, retired from AT&T after 33 years of service. He has been a flight instructor for both fixed wing and hot air balloons. He attended the State of Arizona Police Academy in 2000 and subsequently served on the Sheriff’s personal protection detail and currently volunteers with the County Sheriff’s Office. He is licensed by the State of Arizona to teach not only CCW classes but also armed and unarmed security guard and is a Utah state-certified concealed firearm instructor. Don is an NRA Training Counselor and is certified to teach NRA courses in basic pistol, advanced pistol, shotgun, rifle, personal protection inside the home and outside the home and home firearm safety. He is also a Refuse To Be A Victim Regional Counselor and Certified Chief Range Safety Officer. He is NRA Law Enforcement certified to teach Handgun and Patrol Rifle. He attended NRA’s new Carry Guard Basic & Scenario Training. Don is a volunteer Hunter Education Instructor at Arizona Game & Fish Dept., teaching classes for young aspiring sportspersons. “The thing I most enjoy about teaching is seeing someone come to understand not only their rights as gun owners but also the responsibilities that go along with firearms ownership.”
