Concealed Carry Class at Cabela's in Columbus, OH

CCW Course Overview: This Legal Heat concealed carry permit class meets the qualifying requirements and documentation to obtain Ohio CCW, Florida CCW, and Arizona CCW permits. These concealed carry permits will allow combined carry in approximately 37+ states.

Legal Heat’s concealed carry permit class covers firearms safety, firearms handling, firearms transportation, firearms storage, ammunition, self-defense and firearms laws, concealed carry techniques and much more. Legal Heat’s firearm training instructors are all NRA certified instructors and Utah BCI certified instructors, insured and among the most highly experienced in the industry and can answer your CCW questions.

This course consists of approximately 6 hours of classroom training plus 2 hour range session. Range and classroom sessions are held on the same day.  You do NOT have to reside in the states of Florida or Arizona to qualify to apply for these multi-state permits.

WHY DO I NEED ALL THESE DIFFERENT PERMITS? The Legal Heat multi-state permit strategy is designed to maximize your concealed carry privileges across the US. Here are a few reasons to hold multiple CCW permits:

• Holding more permits may broaden your carry map by adding unique states with the different permits.

• Multiple permits reduce the possibility you will lose carry privileges in a particular state where you have double coverage.

• Multiple permits increases the number of contiguous states available to you for concealed carry

• You maximize the benefit of your investment of time and money into your CCW training

• You may increase your credibility during encounters with law enforcement regarding your concealed carry privileges.

• You minimize your permit expiration risk.

OHIO PERMIT: For Ohio residents, obtaining your home state permit is the only way to conceal carry in your home state and several other states.  The Ohio permit has some of the highest reciprocity in the country, meaning it is accepted by the most states availble for concealed carry that allow non-resdients to comceal carry in thier state.

FLORIDA PERMIT: For Ohio residents who would like a "back up" permit the non resident conceal carry from state of Florida, the one option is to obtain a CCW permit issued by Florida to non-residents.  For Non-Ohio residents wishing to obtain a very comprehensive permit, the mail in Florida permit is a great option as a primary permit.  The Florida non-resident permti is an especially good primary permit option for residents of restrictive states such as NY, NJ, MD

ARIZONA PERMITS:  The combination of the Ohio and the Arizona permits are a great primary and secondary permit alternative. The Ohio CCW Permit and the Arizona CCW permits will give Ohio residents very comprehensive concealed carry privileges across the country, yielding dual permit coverage of mutlple states and are less expensive to obtain and maintain than the Florida non-resident permit.

NO ADDITIONAL TRAINING IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN THE ARIZONA CCW OR FLORIDA CCW PERMITS? The base Legal Heat Ohio CCW classroom and range course will allow participants to obtain their Florida concealed carry permit and Arizona concealed carry permit.

This combined CCW permit training consists of 6 hours of classroom training, as well as roughly 2 hours of live-fire range training.  Total class time includes the transport time to the range from the classroom.

The shooting exercise is simple and will be taught to the skill level of the student and requires shooting at least 30 rounds of ammunition. This is a non-intimidating shooting exercise, and no one has ever failed it. This course more than meets the requirements to obtain all of the advertised permits.

There will be a brief lunch break between the classroom and range sessions.

If you do not participate in the range portion, unfortunately you will not have met the requirements to qualify for the OH and FL permits.
